Propose a Project
Want to conduct your own research with OpenPaths data?
How it works
- OpenPaths projects request data from OpenPaths participants. A participant grants access to a project to work with his or her data by issuing a revocable encryption key to the project.
- Each project has an owner, who can be anyone with an OpenPaths account.
- The data of participants who have approved access to a project are included in the downloads, map, and API that are accessible to the project owner. The data are not accompanied by username, email address, or any information other than the collection of geographic points.
- A participant can revoke access to their data by a project at any time (of course, be aware that a project owner might download a participant's data on their own machine, which cannot be recalled).
