Digital Geographies

by Samuel Lowe

A project exploring the fragmentation of real world spaces and the creation of new digital geographies through various technologies.

I aim to vizualise the volume of information the everyday 'datasexual' is observing of themselves, in a new phenomenon of self-survalence.

Using a sample of OpenPaths data I aim to construct a diagram of users of the OpenPaths app itself.

Data will only be stored locally whist creating the visualisation. Afterwards the data will be erased and the project deleted.

The resulting graphic will be an important piece of visual information, more for the aesthetic volume of people using the OpenPaths app. If the body of research develops further the graphic may be used in a paper, but until then will be viewable on my research page: http://www.sdlowe.com/#!research/cru6
