Public Transit Use

by MIT

We seek to understand how users use public transit vs. other sources of transit.

We seek to understand how public transit is used in a city as it relates to local conditions (weather, season etc) and how it compares to alternate sources of transportation like cars, bikes and taxis.

OpenPaths data will be used to estimate use of transit systems and other transportation systems by estimating proximity to public transit stations.

Data will be encrypted and stored on a local server with access only to one member of the project team (me).

A paper published using this data will be made available openly.
